Charles County Freedom Landing a mental health program for adults, needs volunteers to assist with group activities, crafts, gardening and computer and clerical tasks. 301-932-2737. special Olympics of St. Mary’s County needs volunteers to help with sports training programs. Charles County Literacy Council needs volunteers to tutor in reading, writing, spelling, basic math and English as a second language. The council is also seeking students who need help with reading, writing and basic math. 301-934-6488.
