Health sciences librarian   Duties and responsibilities: The Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) supports academic health sciences libraries and directors in advancing the patient care, research, education and community service missions of academic health centers through visionary executive leadership and expertise in health information, scholarly communication, and knowledge management.
AAHSL promotes the success of its members through relevant programming and services; benchmarking; advocacy; partnerships with like-minded organizations; and the development of a community of colleagues.
Salary: $48,363
Education: Students must graduate from high school, taking classes such as English, math, typing, and science. A four-year bachelor's degree is then required, including courses such as science and computer science. A master's degree in library science (MLS) is mandatory. Courses include scientific literature, biomedical communication, bibliographic resource use, library organization and management, and standard cataloging systems. While health science librarians are not required to be certified, the Medical Library Association does offer certification examinations which would help a librarian advance to a higher position.

Reflection: I would not like to be a Health sciences librarian because I would not like to.
