Salary: The mean annual athletic trainer salary is $44,010. The mean salaries are calculated by adding all the wages within the occupation and divide that value by the total number of employees. Lowest 10% of this occupation makes less than $25,960 and the top 10% makes over $64,140.
Education: The minimum education level for entering the field of athletic training is a bachelor's degree, according to the National Athletic Trainers' Association, or NATA. However, many athletic trainers continue their college education and earn master's degrees. An advanced degree can help you secure jobs in certain settings, such as for a university athletic program, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It also can help an athletic trainer progress to a position of leadership.
